The thirteenth generation of The academy closed a lot of risk this July, because students who remain in competition experienced serious health problems who fortunately are coping thanks to receiving timely medical attention. For that reason, only Cesia, Mar, Andrés, Santiago, Nelson and Eduardo returned home and resumed their preparation process for the concerts they will offer this weekend -Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July-. Regarding Rubí’s participation, it is known that during her isolation in a hotel she had the opportunity to continue rehearsing her five songs, however, it is still unknown if she will participate in the galas.
According to the information shared by Alexander Acha – director of The Academy 2022– in a transmission of the program, the students they will have to prepare five topics in general considering their duets, their entrance numbers and a special dynamic.
Thanks to this, it is known that the main number will be a tribute to Jenni Rivera, beloved interpreter of the Mexican regional who lost his life in 2012 during a plane crash. In fact, the great guest of honor this weekend will be her eldest daughter, Chiquiswho in recent years has tried to follow in his mother’s footsteps within the music industry.
Regarding the special dynamic that will take place next Saturday, July 30, Alexander Acha announced that it will be a type of partial removal, that is, the students will present their duets -there will be a trio- and only one will be the winner. After, the three winning scholars will compete against each other until there are two left, who will fight for a surprise economic prize.
Rubí, Cesia and Eduarco will sing Nothing was an error, the iconic collaboration of Coti, Paulina Rubio and Julieta Venegas. Those who pass to the next stage will sing tibetan princess by Erik Rubín and the last participant of the trio will interpret What was not will not be of Jose Jose.
Mar and Andrés make up the next team and will start with Mourn by Mario Dom and Jesse and Joy. Whoever wins will continue in the competition with This afternoon I saw it rain by Armando Manzanero and if one of them makes it to the final, he will interpret The love of his life by Julion Alvarez.
The last team is made up of Santiago and Nelson, who will start the competition with Dancing by Enrique Iglesias. Whoever goes to the second phase will interpret Here I am by Luis Fonsi and if either of them manages to reach the final they will sing one in a thousand by Manuel Mijares.
