Foo Fighters organizes a series of concerts in memory of Taylor Hawkins

The world of music was paralyzed when taylor hawkinsthe beloved drummer of Foo Fighters, was found dead on March 25 in a hotel in Bogotá. In September the concerts with which the band will pay tribute to him will take place.

Months later, the Foo Fighters and his family have come together to give a series of concerts in memory of the already legendary drummer. In the statement, the band has assured that the invited musicians will be those whom Taylor himself admired. The band will play at the famous Wembley Stadium in London on September 3, while a few days later they will play at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on September 27.

“Millions mourned his untimely death on March 25, with passionate and heartfelt tributes coming from fans and musicians Taylor idolized. The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will bring together several of those artists, the Hawkins family and of course his Foo Fighters brothers to celebrate the memory of Taylor and his legacy as a global rock icon – his bandmates and their inspirations playing the songs he fell in love with and the ones he brought to life,” said the ad of the concerts.

“The Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concerts will benefit charities in both the US and UK chosen by the Hawkins family. Beneficiaries and further details will be announced shortly,” the band explained.

The group, made up of singer Dave Grohl, bassist Nate Mendel, guitarists Pat Smear, and Chris Shiflett and pianist and organist Rami Jaffee, will not be the same without Taylor Hawkins, there is no doubt about that.

Before you get to Foo Fightersthe drummer had worked with Alanis Morissette, this being one of his most outstanding achievements before crossing the path of Dave Grohl.
