On the way to the following elections on June 6, this weekend various candidates from the Valley of Mexico area (ZVM) ended their electoral campaigns with large events, congregations and concerts that challenged the healthy distance and – in some cases – the use of masks.
Currently, Mexico City (CDMX) and the Mexico state They’re in yellow epidemiological traffic light, However, the authorities continue to reiterate in maintain health safety protocols.
Such was the case with Juan Zepeda, candidate of the Citizen Movement (MC) for the governorship of the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl, who closed its activities with a great musical event in Ciudad Deportiva, behind Plaza Ciudad Jardín.
The assistants began to arrive after 5:00 p.m. to enjoy and dance to songs of the invited groups such as the Sonora Dinamita, Cumbia Love, Tex-Tex, among others.
However, although the orange party candidate reiterated the use of face masks to attend and there were chairs organized in the venue, these measures were breached in the middle of the event; with loud music and the active dance floor.
However, this celebration was reduced compared to the mega event that the candidate of National Regeneration Movement (Morena), José Carlos Acosta Ruiz, organized in the mayor’s office Xochimilco of Mexico City.
The main appointment was in the delegational esplanade, where the applicant gave a speech in which he was grateful to his followers, reiterated his campaign promises and highlighted the traditions and customs of the demarcation.
But some Internet users spread images that would reflect the magnitude of the event: with a view from the skies, streets flooded with seas of people are perceived who, it is presumed, were summoned to enjoy the orchestras, wind bands and chinelos troupes.
Many of the attendees they did not wear face masks and obviously the healthy distance was not respected at all.
Finally, also in the country’s capital, the Mexican Ecologist Green Party (PVEM) held a massive event in the Bicentennial Park located in the mayor’s office Azcapotzalco to celebrate the closing of the candidate’s campaign, Jesus Sesma.
However, despite the fact that the venue is an outdoor location, the celebration took place in a covered area and with little distance between the assistants; some of these also did not wear the mask during the conregation.
According to poster published on the applicant’s Twitter, the event took place on May 29 at 4:00 p.m. and, as part of the itinerary, the groups would be present Grupo las Tías, Sonora Dinamita and Cruz del Cerro.
The party spokespersons also attended: the singer of Kabah, Federica Quijano; María José Alcalá; Martha Guzmán; the olympic athlete, Paola Espinosa, and the boxer “Dynamite” Márquez.
