Ed Sheeran’s gift to a 10-year-old fan after a surprise street concert

“You have to practice every day. Practice every day, okay?” That was the condition with which Ed Sheeran maybe could have changed the life of a 10-year-old from Ipswich Town. The English musician offered an impromptu show there before thousands of spectators who packed the streets and he ended up giving his guitar to one of his youngest spectators who was in the front row with his practice guitar.

It all started first thing in the morning when the Briton connected to his official profiles on social networks to announce, from an instrument store, that shortly after he would do a concert in front of the city hall building.

A few hours later he kept his word: “I’ve played so many concerts here and I love this place. I’m happy to be here again,” explained the musician who recalled an anecdote from his beginnings. “I remember that shortly before I released my first album I was right on this same street singing.”

After playing for almost an hour in front of an audience that packed the main square of the city, Ed Sheran announced that he would say goodbye with one last song and it was then that he noticed a boy to whom he decided to give his signed guitar as a gift as we told you at beginning.

A great gift signed by the interpreter who may have motivated that in a few years he can become a music star. Of course, the headline of his first interviews is guaranteed by remembering who gave him the guitar with which he composed his first hits.

Since then, more than a decade has passed and the emerging artist has become a world-class reference artist. The most recent part of his Mathematics Tour is about to close to take a break, be with his family and prepare the songs for his latest studio album from this pentalogy.

At the moment he is making the American public enjoy his concerts but as he promised us during one of our last interviews with him, the world tour will stop in Spain in 2024: “We are planning to go to Spain in 2024. I know it seems like a long time but the tour… Basically you will be able to enjoy the best of the tour because by then everything will be very well rehearsed”.
