Dani Martín at the Fiestas del Pilar 2022: this was his first concerts with El Canto del Loco in Zaragoza

One of the most anticipated concerts of the next Fiestas del Pilar is that of Daniel Martin, who will make a stop with ‘How expensive is time’ on October 15 at the Príncipe Felipe pavilion with sold-out tickets. A tour in which he takes a tour of his musical career with El Canto del Loco and solo.

The band of which Martín was leader for a decade presented his first album in Zaragoza in the summer of 2000. “In less than a year we have gone from recording a demo in a room with hardly any light, to being on a tour of the main Spanish cities,” they told HERALDO at the time. Topics like ‘Pequeñita’, ‘Eres un canalla’ or ‘Traidora’ were played again a year later at Sala Oasis, a venue where they returned in 2022 to present the album ‘A contracorriente’which confirmed its success. With ‘Estados de moral’ they passed through the Interpeñas pavilion in 2003. And “the delirium was unleashed when Dani -cachirulo around the neck-, David, Chema and Jandro were seen on stage”. After those parties they became regular protagonists of the programming of the Pillar parties. During the years of the band’s journey, they also dropped by other Aragonese towns such as Huesca, Teruel and Barbastro.

Dani Martín’s success continued after the separation of El Canto del Loco in 2010. In February of the following year, The Madrilenian presented his first solo work ‘Pequeño’ in the Auditorium’s Multipurpose room, with which he surprised critics. His Zaragoza fans have accompanied him since that first concert. The last time they had the opportunity to see him live in the Aragonese capital was at the Fiestas del Pilar in 2018 with his tour ‘Greatest hits and little disasters‘, a tour of his 18-year career through his best-known songs.
