However, in recent days, during an interview format for YouTube known as ColdplayXtra LIVE, the singer Chris Martin and the guitarist Johnny Buckland talked about the challenges they’ve had with ‘Music of the spheres‘, the tour with which they are going around the world.

In this conversation, the members of the group they let it be known that their tour was about to be canceled due to financial problemsbecause the great staging that they usually do requires a large investment.

“It became financially difficult, something that we had not experienced before. We never really had a big financial crisis,” said Martin, who also added that “this was the first time there was a point where we couldn’t do the tour because of the money situation.”

And although the doubts remained until the last moment, there was a large economic injection from an anonymous that allowed them to continue with this projectone of the most applauded on the international music scene.

In addition, in a conversation with the newspaper ‘The sun’, Chris Martin thanked for this support because, otherwise, they would have had to cancel or postpone their concerts around the world.

“This tour was about trying new things and some of them work and some of them don’t. We are very fortunate to be able to suffer losses and survive them, “concluded the Coldplay vocalist.

It is key to mention that, since the beginning of this tour (Costa Rica in March 2022), more than 5.4 million tickets have been sold to date for their presentations in North America, Latin America and Europe.

Similarly, the public has highlighted the innovative initiatives of sustainability and in favor of the environment, which include a show powered by one hundred percent renewable energy in most of the places; the world’s first touring battery system (made from 40 BMW electric car batteries); electric bikes and kinetic tracks that allow the spectator to help drive the show.

Additionally, the band has included solar panels and wind turbines at each venue; a promise to reduce touring emissions by a fifty%; incentives to encourage fans to travel on green transport; and a tree planted for every ticket sold.

Despite the fact that Coldplay has been developing and implementing this renewable energy strategy, there are several sectors that criticize and point out that they do not fully comply with everything, on this, the band issued a statement as a response clarifying the doubts and criticisms that were raised. they have been generating.

“When we announced this tour, we said we would do our best to make it as low-carbon and sustainable as possible, but that it would be a work in progress. That is still true (…).
