Legends is the title of his most recent work, in which he seeks to pay tribute to the singers that he admired during his childhood. Roberto Carlos, Raphael, Jose jose, José Luis Rodriguez “The Puma”, Gloria Estefan, Rocio durcal, Frank de vita, Camilo Sesto Y Juan Gabriel They are the great personalities that accompany Rivera on this album.

On May 26 of this year, Carlos Rivera held a virtual press conference from the National Auditorium where he presented Legends. Rivera stressed that his sixth album is a tribute to all these exponents and was born by chance of having sung with some of them.
“Not everyone can be on a par with them, they are legends about legends, they have marked an entire era; It is a tribute from my point of view, from the generation of now, of the greats who marked that path; they are my life goal, “said the singer.
Carlos recorded in person with Franco De Vitta, Raphael, José Luis Perales and Gloria Estefan in Miami, Florida; at a distance he collaborated with Omara Portuondo and Roberto Carlos. Rivera explained that the families of the deceased agreed that the voices of the singers were part of Legends.
“I am excited about the idea of bringing artists that we carry in our DNA, with the deep respect I have for them; I wanted to honor them from my trench. It is a gift for that child who grew up listening to all of them ”, he highlighted.
At this conference, Rivera confessed that the first to agree to collaborate with him was Armando Manzanero and he told how one of his last meetings was: “I was with the Master on his 70th anniversary in Chichén Itzá, it was a dream come true; we sang some songs and we lived together a lot, I have no way of being grateful. I am happy to have this song because it is a tribute that I did to him in life “
On the other hand, in a live through his Instagram account, the interpreter of Other lives confirmed that Kiko Cibrián was the producer of Legends.
The album can be heard on all streaming platforms, as well as it can be purchased physically, in Mexico and Spain, next Friday, May 28.
Currently Carlos Rivera is about to go on tour in Spain, during the first days of June. As well as is in negotiations with Alejandro Gou to participate in the musical Joseph the Dreamer.
It is still unknown if Carlos’s show will take place at the Arena Ciudad de México, as it has been postponed since 2020 due to COVID-19.
