The candidate for the Presidency for the party Citizen Prosperity, Carlos Pinedacontinues with the legal fight so as not to be left out of the electoral process, taking into account that currently his candidacy remains suspended due to a court ruling.
In this context, it was confirmed that together with his legal team he will present this Wednesday, May 24, a preventive amparo in the Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ). The objective of this resource is to ensure that the ballot that includes the presidential candidates is not yet printed.
The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) reported that it has a deadline of Thursday, May 25, to deliver the corresponding designs of the ballots to the companies that will be in charge of the printing process.
This is due to the fact that, otherwise, the entities would not be able to meet the necessary deadlines to ensure that they are ready on time to be delivered, packed and sent to the different voting centers, since there is only one month left for the elections.

Setback for Pineda
The Citizen Prosperity party, which proclaimed Carlos René Pineda Sosa as a candidate for the presidency of the Republic, has given the businessman a setback after presenting a withdrawal before the Constitutional Court (CC).
The political group presented a memorial, signed by the deputy Lilian Piedad García Contreras, general secretary, in which it withdraws the appeal filed against the resolution of the Sixth Chamber of Administrative Litigation, which provisionally suspended all the candidacies of that party.
One of the petitions in the memorial indicates that “the present total withdrawal of the appeal presented, on May 20 of this year, against the resolution dated May 18, 2023, which was issued by the Sixth Chamber of the Contentious Administrative Tribunal”.
