All the great stars of music have their secrets about maintaining the state of their voice, physical fitness on tour over the years, or their diet, as is the case with Bruce Dickinsonthe vocalist of Iron Maidenwho has recently revealed the recipe for what he always, without exception, eats after the big concerts.

The return of space Psycho Schizo Expressoin which Dickinson and the Dr Kevin Dutton analyze different psychological aspects of the great stars, featured Bruce himself as the protagonist, taking advantage of his stay in the United States for the new leg of the tour “Legacy of the Beast” across the pondand the singer wanted to reveal what the lonely end of the exciting and massive Iron Maiden concerts is like for him: “With these big concerts we try to do something like an Elvis exit, or in other words, get in the car and disappear wherever we go. The truth is that I usually get in my little cubicle behind the stage, where I have my three liters of water, and a cup of black coffee, some towels and things like that, and I have a pair of sneakers, some pants and a t-shirt, and as soon as I leave the stage the boots go out, the costumes go out, I put on the shoes, the shorts, the t-shirt and I get in the car.

At that moment, Bruce reveals to us the striking recipe for the dish that awaits him after each show: “I have two containers there, in which I have my post-concert lunch, which is the same after every concert: an egg-white omelet with steamed broccoli, beets, carrots, and a whole head of garlic, all steam, then mess it all up by covering it with ketchup. Five minutes after I walk offstage I’m chewing on that. And then I sit there, I breathe, and then… I might have a beer, and that’s it. Then we go back to the hotel and I don’t go out. If there’s a corner somewhere I’ll go sit in that little corner and stare at the wall, I won’t do anything, just relax and not even think about the concert. The truth is that I literally don’t think about anything, it’s like having a blank canvas in your head.

Iron Maiden has been one of the leading bands on the cover of the number 444 of La Heavy beside Ozzy Osbourne and his ‘Patient Number 9’.
