All about the Lupillo Rivera concert at the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office

In the midst of all the cultural events on the occasion of the Day of the Dead, the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office surprised its inhabitants with a surprise concert by Lupillo Riverawhich will take place on October 30.

“The Mayor of Cuauhtemoc, @SandraCuevas_ invites you to the surprise concert with Lupillo Rivera, we are waiting for you this October 30 at Plaza Garibaldi.”, could be read in the official account of this demarcation in Mexico City (CDMX).

The event will take place at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 30 at the Garibaldi Square, located in Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas 43, Colonia Centro. In the poster, the singer appeared with a purple background, with the full moon in the background and full of bats, alluding to the celebration known as Halloween.

The closest public transport stations to get to this iconic place are: Metro Garibaldi, either by line 8 or line B. Although you can also get there by walking from Metro Bellas Artes on Eje Central heading north.

Between comments the reactions were divided, as there were people who celebrated the event while others criticized the mayor Sandra Cuevas and recalled the controversy that was generated when he removed the signs from various food stalls.

Lighting of the Zócalo and Reforma: The Secretary of Works and Services, Jesús Antonio Esteva Medina, announced that for the first time the esplanade of the Zócalo will have lighting alluding to the date, in addition to the fact that there will be drones in the sky to draw figures.

Day of the Dead Parade: will take place at the point of 5:00 p.m. on October 29, the tour will start at the Puerta de los Leones de Chapultepec and will arrive at night at the capital’s Zócalo, where there will be drones that form figures and allegorical cars. At the end of the event, Ángela Aguilar will offer a concert.

The contingent will be made up of 1,200 participants, 344 musicians from various parts of the country, 162 guests, 10 allegorical cars, 29 mobile units, four monumental balloons and will have a length of approximately one and a half kilometers, while the tour will last around four hours.

Exhibition of Catrinas Gayosso in Reforma: will be installed from Friday October 28 to wednesday November 2.

Festival of Offerings and Floral Arrangements: the offerings will be exhibited in various properties, neighborhoods, museums, cultural centers and government institutions, the winning altars will receive a table alebrije and a book will be published as a photographic memory.

Day of the Dead community parades: will be carried out tuesday november 1 in the 16 city halls of CDMX with different routes and schedules.

Night bike ride for Day of the Dead: will be dated November 5th of 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.. The Ministry of Mobility (Semovi) confirmed that a 20 km tourpassing through Paseo de la Reforma, Bosque de Chapultepec and Historic Center.
