Adele talks to Elle about why she canceled Vegas and stopped promoting ’30’ – Odi O’Malley

Adele has come back to life a bit after their concerts in Hyde Park and especially after confirming the new dates of his imaginary residence in Las Vegas. She has taken a breath and has decided to let herself be seen again, which is quite appreciated.

Unfortunately it has when traced the life of ‘30‘ seems already complicated, but the artist has explained to the magazine she who stopped promoting the album after the departure of ‘Oh My God’ -which was already published a bit behind the scenes, really-:

“I felt like I had to stop promoting the album because I didn’t want the fans to think that whatever I did, I didn’t care about the shows I had canceled in Vegas. Because I didn’t care.”

He tells the magazine that he has a secret account of Twitter with whom he sometimes reads what they mention to him, but at the time of vegas what was said caused him so much frustration and shame that he chose to hide. Yes indeed, confirms that there is one more video for ’30’ already recorded and that it might not be the last single to come off the album. Less is nothing, though promotions interrupted they often don’t work as well as artists might hope.

Of course, the magazine asks the singer about her controversial cancellation in Vegas. At first it was alleged that the delivery problems generated by the Covid had led to the suspension of the show, but that theory never made sense because the show lasted for months. The sensible thing in that case would have been to cancel Some shows.

And Adele finally confirms, and clearly, that she did not like the staging of the show. In fact, she assumes that what there was no time for was to make changes, and that she decided to cancel it because she felt uncomfortable with it:

«In the last dress rehearsal, the night before the cancellation, I started singing without a microphone and realized that I could be heard perfectly from any corner. I realized that it was that feeling that I missed in that show, that of intimacy, that of lack of pretense… And that was the best moment of the rehearsal. It was what I wanted. And nothing that was there gave me that feeling.”

The new stagingby the same designer who made the one for the brits, is inspired by that idea. In fact, Adele came up with the giant sequin curtain for the brits when creating a photo call for your child’s birthday party. Later, she asked that the idea be adapted to the grandiloquence of the event. And now, the same team will shape the Vegas show that kicks off in November.

“I want to tell the story of my career from the beginning to now. I’m not going to tell you too much, but the show is growing. And yours grows. Everything revolves around music and it’s really nostalgic. It’s going to be beautiful.”
