The British, who lives between London and Los Angeles, made it clear that “she was very excited for that series of concerts”, but as the rehearsals progressed she realized that “they had no soul”.

“It was the worst moment of my career, by far,” he said.

On January 20, just 24 hours after his first concert and with thousands of fans staying in Las Vegas, he uploaded a video to his profile Instagram in which she claimed to feel “angry and embarrassed” for indefinitely postponing her regular show.

The “residence” was to consist of two concerts each weekend, until April 16, at the Hotel Caesar Coliseum, known for being one of the most reputable venues for shows in the city of the game. Tickets for resale were over $10,000.

“I’m sorry I kept it up so late. It would have been a really mediocre show and I couldn’t do it,” he explained. People would see me on stage and notice that I didn’t want to be there.”

Adele also recounted the moment before the decision, just after the final rehearsal when, frustrated by the design of the show, she disconnected her microphone and began to sing a cappella before the empty stands.
