The actor starred in one of the most embarrassing moments in the last edition of the Oscars and many thought that this would be the end of Will Smith’s career, winning the Oscar for his performance in The Williams Method but becoming disowned by Hollywood for his unfortunate incident.

However, the actor seems to have managed to recover from the downturn, and he has done so with what had previously given him success: a good movie. Away from the noise and the spotlight, Will Smith got back to work and, in collaboration with director Antoine Fuqua, has made a film that puts him back on the map, Emancipation.

Because Emancipation will be a film that tells the story of the escape of a slave in the fields of Louisiana, played by Smith himself.

The release date of Emancipation is still unknown although judging by these first impressions it seems that it will soon get the green light. As it also seems evident that Will Smith seeks forgiveness from Hollywood and that he could be close to obtaining it with a new great film that largely reconstitutes the good image he had before the fateful incident at the Oscars.
