Why Bucky is the key to introducing Wolverine in the MCU?

Wolverine could come to Marvel’s UCM at the hands of Bucky Barnes. Why? We tell you the story behind this connection.

Bucky Barnes is the key to introducing Wolverine in the MCU. It looks like Sebastian Stan’s character will have a new arm on thunderbolts. This could help set up Logan’s debut at the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Known for his metallic arm made of vibranium, Phase 4 offered a surprise twist involving the future of the Winter Soldier.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas Special revealed that Nebula stole Bucky’s arm and gave it to Rocket. Although it is true that it is the continuation of a moment of Avengers: Infinity Warthe character losing his arm in this way also raised a lot of questions. Most will have to be answered in the character’s next appearance in Phase 5, Thunderbolts.. And some of those questions could have a lot to do with Wolverine himself.

Adamantium will be very important in Phase 5

Despite what the Guardians of the Galaxy Christmas special revealed about Bucky’s losing his arm, Marvel has already confirmed that he has a new one in his future. Early Thunderbolts concept images showed Bucky wearing a vibranium arm similar to the one given to him by the Wakandans in Avengers: Infinity War.. There has since been speculation that the MCU Phase 5 movie needed to provide an explanation as to why/how Wakanda would give the character a new arm while he is aligned with the Countess Valentina Allegra de la Fontaine. It is possible that Bucky’s new arm is vibranium and acquired before joining the Thunderbolts. But another explanation connects his arm with Wolverine.

It is possible that Bucky’s new arm in Thunderbolts is made of adamantium, not vibranium. Wakanda isn’t likely to continue spreading vibranium around the world after the end of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, even if he does have an important story there.. Nebula stealing his arm then establishes the need for him to find a new supplier for his metal arm. There are several theories that adamantium will reach the UCM in Captain America: New World Order or Thunderbolts thanks to the rise of Tiamut in Eternals. If that’s true and adamantium starts to be harvested, it’s possible he’ll get a new arm made of Wolverine’s powerful metal.
