We don’t know who the next Wolverine will be, but Hugh Jackman is having fun leaving us breadcrumbs

Even though Deadpool 3 be the actor’s next big movie, Hugh Jackman continues to leave clues about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The return of Wolverine in the third tape of the mercenary with a mouth raised hopes that the interpreter would put on the Adamantium claws more times.

However, Jackman’s latest interviews have further convoluted his presence at the MCU. A few weeks ago, through an interview in the empire podcastscommented that he takes each film as an independent one, hinting that his future as Wolverine could only be in Deadpool 3.

I imagine each film as unique. That’s how I see it. I’ll be honest, I was on a two-film deal at the beginning, but I still just assumed it was one and done. You know, back then, there were no such movies. Now I just take them one at a time. I’m lucky in that sense, I don’t have to think beyond that, but I think it’s the best way to go.”

These words seemed to be intended for his character as Wolverine, since his presence in Avengers: Secret Wars could have been that second movie, since the plot in the comic revolves around different superheroes spread around the different multiverses of Marvel.

However, it seems that he does not close the door to a second appearance in the UCM, especially after the statements he made to the magazine Empire about his possible replacement in the franchise, Taron Egerton.

“Taron is one of the most talented actors out there and you can see his potential is incredible. But I think you need to calm down a bit“.

Jackman’s words seem to leave the door open to a Wolverine’s last dance in an upcoming Marvel movie, as it would be a bit strange to get defensive about a replacement if he really intended to hang up his claws after Deadpool 3.

We would like to say thanks to the author of this short article for this incredible material
