Video: were there already cell phones more than a century ago? Women of 1900 raise doubts about time travel

Inventions in technology continue to arouse the interest and amazement of human beings with the ease that they increasingly allow in daily activities. From advances in health to communications and artificial intelligence, they are proof of how far science has come in less than a century.

The decrease in contact times with another person, instant messaging, as well as the adaptation of several functions (which would take more time manually) are just some of the reasons why a cell phone has become an indispensable element on a global level. In fact, not in vain, a good part of the day is connected to one of these, regardless of its model.

But to man, how many things escape from his hands? Did the succession of events and developments that are known really occur in the order that they have been presented? These are two questions that come to the fore after meeting videos in which two women from the early 1900s are seen with what appears to be a mobile phone.

Do you travel in time?

Whether or not it is about time travelers is left to the judgment of each reader, the truth is that the clip is a trend these days in networks and has aroused not only curiosity, but also bewilderment in many people. The videos date back more accurately to 1928 and 1938. To what extent are things as they are thought or as history has revealed them?

In one of the shorts, a woman is seen holding a mobile phone as part of the film The circus which was directed by the British Charles Chaplin. This tells the story of a man who without thinking arrives at a circus and ends up finding love in that, his workplace, but without being reciprocated. This silent film was recognized with an honorary Oscar award.

However, the cell phone scene in question corresponds to the premiere of the film in Los Angeles, at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. The episode was discovered by the Irish filmmaker George Clarke when he was reviewing in detail the material of that work.

“Nobody has been able to give me an explanation of what it is. The only conclusion I can come to, which sounds absolutely ridiculous (I’m sure) to some people, is that this woman is a time traveler.” Clarion. According to this medium, some are looking for answers in an element designed by the Siemens company four years ago for better hearing, a theory that loses force when seeing that the woman is speaking.

The other video corresponds to the year 1938; but, unlike the first, it is not a piece of a shoot, but real scenes when women from a factory in Massachusetts, United States, were recorded while leaving. There, one of them is also holding a device and is seen happily chatting.

In this case a youtuber She assured that it was her grandmother, who at the time was not even 20 years old and that she, along with other colleagues, had that device for a week as part of tests.

“The lady you see is my grandmother Gertrude Jones. She was 17 years old. When I asked her about this video, she clearly remembered it. My grandmother says that Dupont had a telephone communications section in his factory. Experiments were carried out with wireless telephones”, collects the Clarion.

Despite the attempts to find a reasonable explanation, there are more doubts that remain, since the invention of the first cell phone is attributed to the American Martin Cooper in 1973. This device weighed up to two kilos.
