Two extras who participated in recordings of the film “Wedding night”, who directs the actor Osvaldo Benavidez and who co-stars with the actress Ludwika Palette, they drowned in one of the paradisiacal beaches of the coasts of Oaxaca, Mexico.

When the cast was preparing to carry out the last days of filming, what should have been a day of fun turned into an unexpected tragedy: The actors Marco Antonio Curiel Pérez, 46, and Luis Manuel Gutiérrez, 47, died.

According to the report of the authorities and rescue bodies, on Wednesday, October 12 in the afternoon, a group of 10 extras decided to enjoy the rest of the day off and visited one of the beaches in the area; however, three of them decided to enter the sea without being able to avoid the strong waves that moved them away from the coast. One was rescued alive Wednesday night, but the other two were not.

Authorities were immediately notified and began their rescue work.

In fact, the body of Marco Antonio Curiel Pérez was found in a rocky area on Thursday and that of Luis Manuel was located on Saturday, October 15, after an intense search.

From the producer in charge of the film they lamented the events with a statement on Instagram, where they reported what happened. “Traziende Films and the producers of ‘Wedding Night’ express, with deep pain, their deepest condolences to the families and friends of our colleagues who suffered an unfortunate tragedy on the shores of Oaxaca,” they shared in the text.

“Three of our colleagues, belonging to the cast of extras, decided to take advantage of their day off to visit a beach. Moments later, due to the strong waves that prevailed in the area, it was impossible for them to leave the sea by their own means,” the statement added.

Along the same lines, they remarked that, fortunately, the third man involved is found alive. “He was rescued after his calls for help to the production team were heard. He is healthy and safe, ”they clarify in the statement.

Hours later, filming resumed, the actor said, with the support of friends and people close to the victims. The colleagues of the deceased actors, he explained, decided to continue with the recordings in honor of them. He added that despite not having any responsibility for the event, the production has been close to the relatives of the deceased.

He also sent his condolences for the death of the two actors with an image of a black heart and the number 34, noting that they were one day away from finishing the recordings of the film “Wedding Night” with Ludwika Paleta, with whom he became famous. in the ’90s, as Tita and Nandito, in the successful novel “María la del barrio”, starring Thalía.

Ludwika did not mention anything about the tragic event and only made a heartfelt post on Instagram where he celebrated the work with his colleague and friend, who was also the producer and writer of the story that does not yet have a release date. “A project that we had been dreaming and imagining for ten years. A story that Osvaldo wrote for us and made it come true. My heart fills with pride to witness your perseverance, your passion, your dedication and your talent,” he said.
