The streaming giant continues to have success with the titles published within its platform. During this week, series such as “Merlina” and “Emily in Paris”, and films such as “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery” and “Jumanji: The Next Level” are the productions that have become public favorites.

But, those are not the only movies or series that have captivated Netflix subscribers these days. This is a review of the most viewed releases between Monday, January 9, and Sunday, January 15, 2023 worldwide.

With a total of 39.8 million hours viewed, the film “The Academy Murders” ranks first in the Top 10 most viewed English-language films. The film starring Christian Bale and directed by Scott Cooper follows Inspector Augustus Landor, who is hired to investigate the murder of a cadet and, along the way, must join forces with a young man the world would later know as the writer Edgar Allan Poe. “The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker”, “Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery”, “Dog Gone” and “Sing” are the next films included in this list. The production starring Antonia Gentry and Brianne Howey accumulates 162.7 million hours viewed. The surprise for this week has been that the first season of the same series is located in second place with a total of 63.2 million hours on display.

For its part, Tim Burton’s “Merlina” is positioned in third place on the list. “Vikings: Valhalla” Season 2, “Kaleidoscope,” “Vikings: Valhalla” Season 1, “Emily in Paris” Season 3, “New Amsterdam” Season 1, “The Walking Dead” Season 11 ” and “The Recruit” round out the Top 10.

The streaming giant has also revealed the Top 10 for each country. In Peru, between January 9 and 15, the most viewed film was “Sing: Come and sing!” (2016), an animated production directed by Garth Jennings and featuring the voices of artists such as Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey.

While in second place is “Lost Dog”, followed by “Jumanji: The Next Level”. The list continues with “The crimes of the academy” and “Colombiana”. The Top 10 in Peru is completed by “Relentless Revenge”, “Smugglers by mistake”, “The reason for being with you”, “Pinocchio” by Guillermo del Toro and “The Raid 2”.
