It’s been a week since Spider-Man: No Way Home hit theaters. The new solo movie of the arachnid hero starring Tom Holland continues to break box office records in its wake. Just days after its premiere, the film became the highest grossing title of 2021.
Of course this note contains spoilers, so if you haven’t seen Spider-Man: No Way Home, we recommend that you stop reading. Otherwise, go ahead!
As many of you already know, the film brings back a large number of characters from the arachnid universe. Among them, many of the villains like Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina), Electro (Jamie Foxx) and the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe).
In addition to the already known MJ (zendaya), Ned (Jacob Batalon) and Aunt Mai (Marisa Tomei), the long-awaited film brings back two faces that are well known to fans. At one point in history, they make their long-awaited return Andrew Garfield Y Tobey Maguire like their respective versions of Spider-Man.
After months of rumors and speculation, and the very protagonists of the story denying their participation in the film to their fill, the secret finally came to an end. And now, Tom Holland and Zendaya broke the silence on what it was like to work with Maguire and Garfield on the new Spider-Man.
Holland was one of the first to manifest his enthusiasm to be able to work alongside Maguire, who returns to put himself in the shoes of the hero after almost two decades later. “He was really excited to be back. You could tell it really meant a lot to him. Putting the suit back on. Getting back together. It was amazing,” Holland revealed.
In the same line, Zendaya revealed that a very special bond was created between Holland, Maguire and Garfield. “It was so beautiful to see all of you connect in that and to be able to talk to each other about such a special experience, as very few people have been able to put the suit on,” said the actress who plays MJ in the trilogy.
Holland also revealed that he had a lot of fun working with Charlie Cox, the actor who plays Matt Murdock / Daredevil in the film. He also assured that Alfred Molina is one of the funniest people you’ve ever met. Of course he also had words of praise for Willem Dafoe, who once again put himself in the shoes of the Green Goblin. “I’ve never worked with an actor who could give a director so many options,” said Holland, who was dazzled by the veteran actor’s performance.
The words of the protagonists do nothing more than reflect what was seen on the screen. Something that in addition to great enthusiasm was very emotional for the hero’s fans. Hopefully this It won’t be the last time we see Maguire and Garfield in their hero costumes, as Sony has plans for both actors to return.
