This image confirms that Deadpool was about to appear in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’

Prior to the premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madness, much was said about the characters that could take advantage of the feature film to debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The most notorious case, without a doubt, was that of dead pool. Especially since a film poster seemed to show the antihero of Ryan Reynolds.

Although in the end it was not fulfilled, an image shared by Marvel (via comic book) confirms that the character was about to appear in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse MadnessAlthough not in the way you imagine.

The material in question is shown in Marvel Studios: United (Marvel Studios: Assembled), the documentary series with the behind-the-scenes of the latest Marvel successes —both in film and on television—. The next chapter will obviously be devoted to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madnessthat you can now enjoy on Disney +. But this episode stands out because the production company allows us to see a cut scene in which a building has multiple illustrations of Deadpool.

The biggest of them all, though, doesn’t just feature Deadpool, but Cable as well. They both try to recreate Adan creation by Leonardo DaVinci. Perhaps you remember the image because it was making the rounds on the internet several years ago. She was part of the advertising campaign for Dead Pool 2.

Unfortunately, Marvel doesn’t provide a context for the scene. Also, not knowing how those led by Kevin Feige plan to introduce Deadpool to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the situation raises too many questions. Is Deadpool in the same universe as Doctor Strange? Or it belongs to a different reality not explored in the film…

Deadpool is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Despite the absence of Deadpool in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Madnessthe fan service was not on duty. We were able to see the Professor Xavier by Patrick Stewart and even to Reed Richards by John Krasinski. The second was a request from the fandom which, against all odds, came true.

The above, yes, does not diminish the chances that Deadpool will be integrated into the Marvel movies. It’s just a matter of time. Kevin Feige already confirmed that Dead Pool 3 will be part of the Cinematic Universe and, more importantly, it will maintain its adult rating.

“It will have an R rating [para adultos] and we are currently working on a script. Ryan is overseeing a script at the moment, but filming won’t happen this year. Ryan is a very busy and successful actor. We have a set of projects that we’ve already announced that we now need to do, but it’s exciting that it’s started. He’s a very different kind of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, so it’s amazing to see him bring that character to life.”

Certainly, the phenomenon of the multiverse facilitates the incursion of Deadpool. However, it seems that Marvel wants to focus the attention of the audience on other characters before introducing Wade Wilson. Will he make his debut in Phase 4? We will know as the years go by.
