In 2010, the series landed on the small screen of Mexico I’m your fan. Adapting a production that was originally broadcast in Argentina, director Álvaro Hernández managed to create a highly entertaining story that won over all viewers.
The story introduced us to Carla, whom we will also meet under the nickname “Charly”, a girl who is depressed because her three-year relationship with Julián has just ended. One day in a cafeteria she meets Nicolás, who instantly falls in love with her.
Due to the enormous success of the first season, they did not take long to renew the fiction for a second installment. This came to light on October 19, 2011 and since then, nothing new from this series has ever been published… until now! Throughout the Mexican series, the public was able to enjoy the talent of Ana Claudia Talancon, Martin Altomaro, Osvaldo Benavidez Y Mayan Zapata. For many, many years, cast members have talked about the possibility of a movie starring the characters coming to light. However, the idea never came to fruition.
Finally, the wish of many fans came true:I’m your fan will have a movie! The first advance they shared featured some characters, who were driving in different cars while singing part of the song “Fan” by Emmanuel Horvilleur.
Finally, later they shared the trailer for this new story. The film can be seen on the big screen on September 8 and will introduce us to the group 10 years later: The characters meet on a beach in Mexico to celebrate the intimate wedding of Rocío and Diego. This will cause Charly and Nico to meet again.
Said cinematographic production will feature the performances of Ana Claudia Talancón and Martín Altomaro, who will again put themselves in the shoes of the main characters. In addition to them, the film will also feature the return of Maya Zapata (Rocío), Johanna Murillo (Fernanda), Gonzalo García (Diego), Juan Pablo Medina (Iñaki) and Flor Edwarda Gurrola (Vannesa).
It should be noted that Mariana Chenillo, Dolores Fonzi, Constanza Novick, Laura Paredes were in charge of the film’s script; while photography fell into the hands of Ignacio Prieto Palacios and music by Ari Brickman. In addition to the original characters from the story, the film will also play a selection of songs that identify an entire generation.
