During the talk, they commented that one of the filters they use in the audition is the reproduction of the scene of From Russia With Love from 1963, when Connery’s Bond meets Daniela Bianchi’s Russian agent Tatiana Romanova.
“We always use the same scene… and that’s the one from From Russia With Love, where Bond goes back to his room after the murder, and starts to take off his shirt, goes into the room to take a shower. During a question asked by DeadlineWilson commented on the new filter they have when it comes to adding actors to the list. Wilson stressed that they do not want a veteran actor, but neither do they want a very young one, but rather someone who is in their 30s. “We have tried to look at younger people in the past. But trying to visualize it doesn’t work. Remember, Bond is already a veteran, he has had some experience. He is a person who has been through wars, so to speak. He’s probably been in the SAS or something. He is not a high school kid that you can just bring up and start. That’s why he works for a thirtysomething”, he detailed.
Unfortunately, with this metric that the producers have, other names proposed by the fans would be ruled out, such as Tom Hardy (45 years old), Tom Hiddleston (41 years old) and mainly Henry Cavill (39 years old).
