Sarah Garcia, known as “La Abuelita de México”, or “La Granny of national cinema”, was a Mexican actress and comedian. Although she began making films like any other artist, in 1934 during the so-called “Golden age of Mexican cinema“, Garcia caused a great impact when she decided to remove 14 teeth to be able to play the main role in a play entitled “My poor grandmother”, where she played an elderly woman.
