The future of the Jurassic World saga

Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow has already met with Universal Pictures to decide what’s next for dinosaurs.

The movie Jurassic World: Dominion It has almost grossed $1 billion worldwide. However, it doesn’t seem like the epic conclusion this saga deserves. Since, basically things stay the same for the world and the fight between humans and dinosaurs to be at the top of the evolutionary chain.

The question is: Will they make more deliveries? A reset? Will we ever see human-dinosaur hybrids? Is the future Mad Max but with giant lizards? For now we do not know what will happen to the saga, but the director Colin Trevorrow offers some clues in a recent interview with Empire.

“The previous five films are plots about dinosaurs. This is a story about characters in a world where they coexist with dinosaurs. In order for the franchise to go forward, because it’s inherently non-franchisable, there should probably only be one Jurassic Park, but if we’re going to do it, how can I allow them to tell stories in a world where dinosaurs exist? , as opposed to, here’s another reason we’re going to an island?”

“I have spoken with Universal Pictures about the future of Jurassic World and there is more to come.”

The funny thing is that the promotion promised an epic conclusion. Something that Colin Trevorrow does not agree with.

“I never knew this was the end of the franchise until I saw the marketing. Those guys are brilliant at what they do, but to me I think it could have been clearer if they had said: The end of an era. Instead of all that. Because regardless of the cynical approach, of course they are going to want to make more money, which is what Jurassic World is all about. Every day a new dinosaur fan is born. Children deserve these films, and young filmmakers grow up with these stories.” concluded Colin Trevorrow.
