Richard Donner, director of ‘Superman’, ‘Goonies’ and ‘Lethal Weapon’ dies at 91

Richard Donner, the mythical film director responsible for some of the best-known films of the 80s, such as Superman, Los Goonies O Lethal Weapon and its three sequels, has died. He was 91 years old.

In addition to directing films, he was also a producer of feature films, such as the first film of X-Men O Free Willy. In addition, he was involved in TV series, especially in the 1960s and 1970s. Donner also became involved in the world of comics.

Following the direction of The prophecyRichard Donner directed the Superman movie released in 1978. Both he and Christopher Reeve, who played the superhero, became an international sensation. Finally the original director’s cut was released on the DVD called Superman II, Richard Donner’s version. The project went ahead after Bryan Singer was able to recover much of the scenes shot with Marlon Brando playing Jor-El to be digitally adapted into Superman: The Return.
