The month of October 2022 is just around the corner and, for this reason, each of the streaming platforms in Latin America is announcing what it has in store. And one of the first to indicate its catalog of premieres is Prime Video. We update you on everything you will find in this service for the tenth month of the year.

Argentina, 1985 (October 21)

Inspired by the true story of Julio Strassera, Luis Moreno Ocampo and his young legal team who dared to accuse, against all odds, against the clock and under constant threat, the bloodiest Argentine military dictatorship. “A battle of David against Goliath, with the least expected heroes”; notes the official description of him.

Argentina, 1985 is inspired by the true story of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo, who in 1985 dared to investigate and prosecute the bloodiest military dictatorship in Argentine history.

The Sound of 007 (October 5th)

Documentary that follows the remarkable six-decade history of James Bond music, going behind the lens on one of the greatest film franchises and the iconic 007 theme song.

Catherine Called Birdy (October 7)

Period drama set in 1290. In the English medieval town of Stonebridge, Lady Catherine (known as Birdy) is the youngest daughter of Lord Rollo and Lady Aislinn. Her playground is Stonebridge Manor, a house that, like her family, has seen better days. With a precarious economy and at the same time total greed, Rollo sees in her daughter the solution to get out of economic ruin by marrying her to a rich man in exchange for money and land. But Birdy, like all great teen heroines, is feisty, smart and adventurous, and she’s willing to fend off any suitor in increasingly resourceful ways.

filthy envy (October 7)

Colombian black comedy starring Cuervo, Ana Maria Orozco, Cecilia Navia and Yeimy Vargas, who give life to four great friends who end up telling each other the truth to each other’s faces, in what was initially a celebration dinner. Pro in the end, they are not the protagonists, but rather, the poisonous and filthy envy.

The periphery: connection to the future (October 21)

Futuristic thriller which details that “Flynne Fisher (Moretz) is a woman trying to keep her broken family together in a forgotten corner of future America. Flynne is smart, ambitious and doomed. She has no future, until the future knocks on her door.”

Adaptation of William Gibson’s best-selling novel that has been described as a “dazzling, hallucinatory vision of the fate of mankind, and what lies beyond”.

north over the void (October 28)

Mexican drama based on true events centered on a man named Reynaldo, a renowned hunter in decline. When the threat of losing his heritage and the legacy of his father appears; the dynamic with his family, with his workers and with the land, will be altered in the most dangerous way.

The Devil’s Hour (October 28)

British thriller that recounts the experiences of a woman – a social worker and single mother – who wakes up every night at exactly 3:33 am, in the middle of the so-called “devil’s hour”, between 3 and 4 am, and experiences inexplicable events strangers.

The English football legend will act as a mentor and according to the statement released today, Beckham and his team “will take these players, their coach and their community on a transformative adventure that will change their lives forever.”

Top Gun: passion and glory (October 1st)

The United States Navy has created an elite school for pilots in order to bring out a class of experts in combat techniques. At the academy, better known as Top Gun, the best are trained to be fearless and cold at the same time, capable of not losing their temper in extreme situations and not flinching when breaking the sound barrier at the controls of a F -14. The young Maverick arrives at the school, famous for his reckless but brilliant way of piloting.
