The Countdown for the return of the most important animated series on Netflix began, we are talking about Love, Death and Robots. The anthology story that not only introduces various directors but also different animation styleswill return to the platform at the end of the month presenting short films with a new theme, animation and, of course, direction.
In 2019 Netflix introduced Love, Death and Robots a series that collects short films between 5 and 15 minutes each. Each story features a unique animation style that can range from traditional animation to the latest CGI used in major Hollywood productions. All these short films deal with genres such as Science fiction (mostly) the horrorthe acid Comedy, the drama and more.
Now to prepare the fans, Netflix launched the Volume 3 first trailer from this acclaimed animated anthology series. The preview confirms that we will have 9 short filmsof which one of them will be a direct continuation of the seen in the Volume 1.
One of the biggest surprises for this season is that David Fincher, in addition to officiating as a producer, was in charge of directing one of the episodes, which marks the filmmaker’s first foray into animation. Fincher, director of the acclaimed mindhunterjoined an old acquaintance, the screenwriter Kevin Walkerthe writer of Se7ento present the short Bad Traveling.
According to Netflix this story tells us that “a shark-hunting sailing ship is attacked by a giant crustacean whose size and intelligence are matched only by its appetite. Mutiny, betrayal and ventriloquism with a corpse, welcome aboard David Fincher’s animated directorial debut“
