“Matrix Resurrections”, the fourth installment of the science fiction saga “The Matrix”, will be released in December and this Thursday its first trailer has appeared, which promises a great show and shows Neo trying to recover his memories.
Some first images that were shown at the end of August at CiemaCon and that are now available to all fans of the saga, who have responded with enthusiasm and the trailer has more than 5.1 million views in less than four hours.
In addition, it has become one of the trends on Twitter months before the arrival of this installment, which brings together the iconic characters played by Keanu Reeves (Neo) and Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity).
Neo falls asleep again in a fictional world, but still retains memories of his life as the Chosen One, of which he talks to a psychologist (Neil Patrick Harris), although he has forgotten his relationship with Trinity. A situation of amnesia that is broken when Neo meets the new Morpheus (Abdul-Mateen), he gives him the inevitable red pill and, again, Neo follows a stranger with a tattooed white rabbit to discover the truth.
This fourth installment addresses topics such as the search for truth, takes up emblems of the saga such as the choice of the pill and insists, once again, on abundant doses of action and immersions in the world controlled by machines.
Part of the cast returns: in addition to Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith (Niobe), Lambert Wilson (Merovingian) and Daniel Bernhardt (Agent Johnson) return.
To which are added new incorporations such as Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, Christina Ricci or Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who plays a new version of Morpheus, the character of Laurence Fishburne in the original trilogy.
Lana Wachowski, this time without her sister Lilly Wachowski, has gone behind the scenes in this film. “Matrix Resurrections” follows on from “The Matrix” (1999), “The Matrix Reloaded” (2003) and “The Matrix Revolutions” (2003) and continues the tradition of opting for a subtitle that begins with the letter “R” .
