The movie of Barbiecontinues its filming at full speed and this time new images of margot robbie Y Ryan Gosling like Barbie and Ken. The film is directed by Greta Gerwigthe director nominated for an Oscar twice with Lady Bird Y little women.
Sony Pictures was originally in development with Amy Schumer as a possible lead. However, due to a fair amount of creative differences the project did not come to fruition. It was then that Warner Bros. took control of the project and elected margot robbie of protagonist.
Filming is currently taking place in Leavesden, England. Weeks ago, the studio released the first images of Robbie and Gosling in their respective roles. But in the last few days they’ve met new photos of the protagonists in full shooting of the film.

Additionally, the cast includes performances by America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Kate McKinnon, Emma Mackey, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Will Ferrell, Ncuti Gatwa, and Hari Nef. Although it is unknown which character each one will play, it was previously revealed that Rae and Nef will give life to alternate versions of barbiewhile Gatwa and Liu will also play Ken.
The details of the plot are still kept under lock and key, but everything indicates that it will be a revolutionary bet of the iconic doll. A feminist satire in a comedic tone that will address issues such as the search for identity and being oneself.

New behind-the-scenes footage shows Robbie and Gosling dressed as Barbie and Ken, wearing cowboy outfits. She in the iconic pink color and he in a black suit with white details. There is also a picture of Gerwig where she can be seen having an exchange with Robbie, the film’s star and producer.

The choice of costumes for both characters is clearly reminiscent of the Barbie and Ken looks from the ’80s. Already in the official photo of Barbie, the protagonist was seen aboard her pink convertible, so the appearance of other elements that usually accompanied the Mattel doll could also be expected.
