Kate Winslet Hospitalized After Accident on ‘Lee’ Set

The actress Kate Winslet was rushed to a hospital after suffering an accident while filming the biopic ‘Lee’ on location in Croatia, the Deadline news portal reported.

According to a small statement, the Oscar winner apparently fell while on the set of the movie. Fortunately, a spokesman for the production said that the accident did not happen to majors.

Kate slipped and was taken to the hospital as a precaution required by the production. She is doing well and will be filming, as planned, this week.“, was specified in the press release.

Kate Winslet has been involved in the movie ‘Lee’ since 2015, according to the IMDB portal. In the biographical film, the British actress plays Lee Miller, a real correspondent from World War II.

This historical drama, directed by Ellen Kuras, will explore the life of the Vogue model and how she became a war photojournalist. The film will also feature performances by Marion Cotillard, Jude Law, Andrea Risborough Y Josh O’Conneramong others.

Among his many achievements, Lee Miller portrayed war through his images, exposing the terrors of Nazi Germany, as well as the sadism of soldiers and other horrors of the war.

“This is not a biopic at all,” Kate Winslet told Deadline of the project in 2021. “To do a story about Lee’s entire life, that’s a worthwhile series for HBO.”

According to Winslet, the film focuses especially on the period from 1938 to 1948, which took Lee through the war and was “his most defining moment.”
