I am Groot: which Marvel characters will appear in the Disney + series

Next August 10 arrives at Disney+ the animated series I am Groot centered on the loveliest of Guardians of the Galaxythe cute little tree who is played by Vin Diesel from the first entry of the franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now the protagonist of these 5 shorts is exclusively this hero, but there are also clues that indicate which other MCU characters may accompany him.

Apparently, according to the synopsis of the animated series, the Guardians of the Galaxy they get stuck in a wormhole separating from Groot which ends up on a planet full of strange creatures and different societies that react to the presence of this strange plant-like visitor who only repeats: “I am Groot”.

We also know that everything that happens in these 5 shorts presented in Disney+ will be part of the canon in regards to Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe so we must be very attentive to everything that happens in this animated series with Groot and the other characters of the brand that appear in the show that is the previous entry to the Christmas special of the Guardians of the Galaxy and finally the team’s latest film.

What characters will accompany Groot during these shorts? At the moment we can confirm two Guardians of the Galaxy and a strange race of little aliens that react to the cute little tree by attacking it with all their might until they see the kind nature of the visitor and even more importantly they enjoy eating the leaves it produces.

Also, on the one hand there is the confirmation that Rocket It will be part of the animated series. Groot’s partner par excellence and his great friend could not miss participating in the show of his adventure partner. As it appears in the list of actors that are part of the program in the IMDb database the actor Bradley Cooper is present in the section I am Groot so we assume that character will be from the game.

Finally, a storyboard of the animated series confirms the appearance of Drax The Destroyeranother of the Guardians of the Galaxyin this case played by the former wrestler turned actor dave baptist who has already warned in the past that the team’s third entry will be his last participation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so this may be the beginning of goodbye.
