the acclaimed film ‘pinocchio‘ by the Mexican director Guillermo del Toro ‘swept’ the nominations in the Annie Awards 2023 —also known as ‘the animation oscars‘- with a total of nine possible accolades.
Through its website, the International Animated Film Association gave to know its list of nominees, among which is Best Picture, Best Director, Best Music and two nominations for Best Voice Acting.
These are the Pinocchio nominations at the 2023 Annie Awards:

- Best Direction
- Best Character Animation
- Best Production Design
- Best Special Effects
- Best music
- Best Edition
- Best Voice Acting (Gregory Mann, voice of Pinocchio)
- Best Voice Acting (David Bradley, voice of Geppetto)
Closely followed by feature films ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On’ and the Disney and Pixar film ‘Red’ with a total of eight nominations each.
Further down the list is ‘Puss in Boots: The Last Wish’ with six nominations and complemented some of the categories are the productions of Disney ‘Lightyear’ and ‘A Strange World’with just two nominations.
