the saga of Halloween extends to 44 years and 13 films, starting with a first and very celebrated film that he directed John Carpenter and starred Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. Curtis has periodically returned to the franchise, so The halloween night of 2018, directed by David GordonGreen, has been the most fruitful reunion. The shooting of Halloween Ends He finished in february 2022so that Curtis has already been able to say goodbye to Laurie Strode, scream queen and final girl primal “It was very emotional and cathartic,” has said about his experience. “I mean, how final girl…I never really understood how important that nickname was until I did this last movie. Now I really understand. And I think it will make you very happy.” Laurie Strode has been kept alive for four decades by being bullied by Myers, in such a way that she has ended up being the final girl as resistant as possible, if it does not spoil the streak Halloween Ends.
When the shoot was over, Curtis spoke of a moment “bittersweet”but he was also grateful for having been part of the phenomenon until the end. “I have made great friends and collaborated with wonderful artists on these three films, and today my part has ended and with it the trilogy”. Now it remains to be seen if Halloween Ends earn enough money for the creators of the saga to think better about ending it.
