Directed by Sebastian DeCarothe film follows a young couple going through a crisis of relationship problems, so they will devise a way to measure the effort they make for each other.

With a script written by Gabriel Korenfeld and Rocío Blanco, the film is based on the term “matrimillas” (matri from the Latin matrimonīum and mile in Latin: mille passus). It consists of a dynamic to add and subtract points during living together as a couple and the objective is to “make good handwriting” so that later on you can have credit and enjoy certain exclusive benefits.

The word comes from the analogy with the mileage accrual system on cards that usually grants credit to passengers traveling with airlines associated with their bank. According to the director, the creation of this story derives from the concept that gives the feature film its title. “The term ‘matrimillas’ is a sort of play on words between the measure of distance that usually gives credit in flight plans and matri, of marriage”.

the cast of matrimillas is made up of Luisana Lopilato, Juan Minujin, Cristina Castaño, Andrea Rincón, Julián Lucero, Santiago Gobernori, Vicente Archain, Aylen Malisani and Betiana Blum. The project is produced by Buffalo Films and Tieless Media; and among the executive producers are Esteban Mentasti, Hori Mentasti and Fernando Abadi.
The Argentine film will reach the catalog of Netflix next December 7.
