Moviegoers can choose to enjoy this Thursday’s premieres from one of the reclining seats of the new Caribbean Cinemas VIP, which opens in the modern T-Mobile District.
A total of eight theaters, seven of these equipped with reclining seats, all numbered, laser projection and the latest in digital technology, including the new ScreenX room format, is part of what the public will be able to enjoy in this cinema, which has as partners to the firms PRISA Group and ASM Global.
All rooms will be stadium-style with leather seats and more space between rows for greater comfort. The total capacity will be about 800 seats. Of the eight theaters, ScreenX is the first of this format in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and will become the new way of watching movies. This technology will allow to enjoy a panoramic viewing experience of 270 degrees by adding two side screens that will make viewers feel that they are in the middle of the action, it was reported in a press release.
This new ScreenX room, sponsored by JEEP, will premiere with the new movie “Black Widow” from July 8, simultaneously with its world premiere. The JEEP ScreenX room will feature five projectors, four for the side screens and one for the main screen to create an immersive experience. Similarly, the room will have speakers strategically located to optimize sound quality.

The theater will also have a CXC (Caribbean Cinemas Extreme) room with a gigantic 60 x 32 foot screen, 4K projector, Dolby Atmos sound system with over 60 speakers around the room and elegant numbered club rocker seats that, although They do not recline with a button, they are spacious, comfortable and also have a table to place your food and drink. This will be the seventh CXC room in Puerto Rico.
The concept of the VIP cinema is a boutique one and is characterized by the service and experience that customers will have when they can eat and enjoy their favorite beer, wine or cocktail in their seat while watching a movie. In the same way, clients can share in the bar or in the lounge type lobby, while tasting the varied menu of appetizers and dishes with original recipes, made at the moment in Victor’s Kitchen & Bar. This cinema also has two outdoor terraces that will allow customers to enjoy the action of the T-Mobile District outdoors, from the second level.

In the VIP Cinemas District, the great Hollywood premieres will be presented with batches from 2:00 pm and it will be a cinema for the enjoyment of the whole family.
The cost of the VIP and CXC adult ticket will be $ 13.75 and under $ 8.75. While the rate for the ScreenX room will be $ 16 adults and $ 12 minors. There will be special prices for seniors, Ladies Day and the Bargain Show, which is a special price on the first batch, every day.
During the opening week premieres will be presented, such as “The Boss Baby”, “Family Business”, “The Forever Purge” and other films already in theaters, including “F9: The Fast Saga”, “In the Heights”, “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard” and “Petter Rabbit 2”.
The rooms and terraces of the VIP Cinemas District will be available for corporate activities and private events. The closest parking lot to the cinema is the Magenta lot in the T-Mobile District, entering from Lindbergh Street in the direction of the Big Island airport. The new cinema will employ about 85 people.
All cinemas continue to operate with all protocols for distancing, hygiene and safety following the guidelines issued by Executive Order, including the compulsory use of masks for employees and customers.
