He then leaned towards this project, whose filming took place throughout 2021 with a lot of secrecy on the subject. In any case, yesterday it was presented at the Venice Festival and we already know what it is about Bard. It is a comic and dramatic film that follows a renowned Mexican journalist, Silverio Gama, who after several years returns to his native country and hopes to find himself again in his country, but it turns out that Mexico is nothing like the one he left. Then he must search for his identity and begin a path where the past and the present must be reconciled. In turn, he is accompanied by his wife, Lucía, who is also going through a difficult emotional situation.
The film stars Daniel Gimenez Cachorenowned Mexican actor starring in Zama, nominated for the Goya Awards for best Hispanic American film. In addition, Cacho has worked alongside other great Mexican directors such as Alfonso Cuarón and Guillermo del Toro. And the Argentine accompanies him Griselda Sicilian, well known for her roles in Argentine soap operas. She, in turn, is not the only Argentine representative since Ricardo Darín and Peter Lanzani also attended the festival for her performance in the film Argentina, 1985.
Regarding the reception of at the festival, it is known that the film has been applauded for four minutes, which is not a bad time, but it is nothing remarkable.
