Apple announces its second project based on Formula One!

Series based on stars from the world of music and sports have been part of the Apple TV + catalog since its launch and the company wants to go for more. Thus, and as part of its upcoming releases, the streaming platform announced an upcoming series based on the life of Enzo Ferrarifounder of the famous luxury and racing car brand.

Like much of the content on Apple TV+, this series is inspired by the biography “Ferrari Rex” by Luca Dal Monte. It captures the dramatic era between 1956 and 1961 when Enzo Ferrari rebuilt his racing team from scratch in the midst of a family tragedy. Ferrari rebuilt its racing team from scratch, selecting five promising motorsport stars to fight for victory.

The ambitious project will be by the creator of Peaky Blinders, Steven Knight and Stefano Sollima. Executive producers include Lorenzo Mieli and Paolo Sorrentino. From this team, Knight has already worked with Apple TV+ on the sci-fi thriller See, starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard, which will end shortly after three seasons. Regarding this next project, Knight has shared his expectations in a statement:

“I am delighted to tell such an evocative story about this legendary man and his iconic brand. Enzo Ferrari’s absolutely extraordinary life was defined by his dramatic personal and professional journey, and Ferrari is a celebration of an incredibly complex and fascinating human being.”

She is serious the platform’s second series related to sports cars and Formula One. A few months ago, the acquisition of the rights to a film based on Formula One, starring Brad Pitt, was announced and will be presented in theaters 30 days before arriving on Apple’s streaming platform.

Currently, Apple TV + lives one of its best moments. Almost three years after its launch and backed by a catalog of original and new series, it is getting more and more recognition from the public and specialized critics. Thus, it recently obtained the largest number of awards in the Hollywood Critics Association AwardsY 52 nominations for the next edition of the Emmys.
