Apple releases the trailer for Luck, its first animated film

Apple TV + adds another proposal to its category of family and children’s programs!

After its announcement last year, Apple has finally shared the trailer for its first animated film in collaboration with the Skydance Animation studio. Of course, it’s about Luck, the story of the unluckiest person in the worlddirected by John Lasseter, a Pixar veteran who worked on movies like Toy Story and Cars.

Luck comes to Apple TV+ in August

With an investment of hundreds of millions of dollars and months of development Luck’s debut is scheduled for August 5, 2022.

“Luck centers on Sam Greenfield, the unluckiest person in the world. But his fortune changes when he finds the Land of Luck, a secret factory that manages all the lucky and unlucky moments that happen in the world. Sam’s adventure includes meeting with some amazing mythical creatures, including a talking black cat, a dragon, and everything in between.”

Once in this new land, Sam will have the possibility to choose whether to change his destiny or face his “bad luck” so far.

With the trailer, the voice cast for this film has also been confirmed. The main characters are in charge of Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Jane Fonda and Whoopi Goldberg.

After Luck, Skydance and Apple have already announced two other projects on the list. The next feature film is titled ‘Spellbound’, and is expected to be released early next year. An ambitious television series based on the WondLa children’s book series is also in development, promising cinema-quality animation.

With its premiere, ideal for the holiday season, Luck joins the list of programs for the whole family. These include options such as: Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock and Harriet the Spy, Puppy Place and Stillwater and the long-awaited premiere of Forward. To date, this type of series represents one of the best valued options among users of the service.

To enjoy Apple TV +, users can choose a monthly subscription of 4.99 euros.
