The film is chilling from the moment Veronica remembers the stories that the cook in her house told her, as the girl begins to assume that she can achieve all her goals through witchcraft. With a very deteriorated mentality, she begins to make her friend Flavia believe that the paranormal things that happen to them are due to her spells.
On its own, the movie becomes terrifying, but later there is a quick scene that some may have noticed but thought it was part of the plot, however, it was not. In the scene, Flavia is tucked in by her mother and when she removes the arms of a porcelain doll, she turns her head for no apparent reason.
