A canceled Warner movie wraps up filming, but no one will see it

Although no one is going to be able to see this film, a canceled Warner Bros. Discovery production happily wraps up filming.

A canceled Warner Bros. Discovery movie has finished filmingbut no one can see it. The studio has been working to cut costs and find tax advantages since the merger between Warner Media and Discovery was completed. New CEO David Zaslav has made savings the number one prioritywhich has led to the removal of near-finished projects and the withdrawal of original titles from hbo max of the streaming service. In the midst of this unprecedented set of circumstancesone of the canceled films opted to complete production anyway, in the hope that it might one day see the light of day.

Celebrating a movie that will never be released

Scooby! Holiday Haunt was in the final stages of production when the team learned that it was being canceled entirely. Nevertheless, the filmmakers decided to finish the film. So the Christmas-themed prequel to Scoob! 2020 is completely done, according to producer and screenwriter Tony Cervone. Despite everything, Warner Bros. Discovery canceled it and there was no way back… For the moment.

“Well, today we finished this. A bittersweet conclusion, to be sure,” Cervone wrote of the end of production on the Warner film. “I really hope they get a chance to see it somehow. It’s very good. I want to congratulate the directors for having done an extraordinary job. They understand the characters, the comedy and the creepy emotions very well. Thanks to Paul Dini for writing it with me. Thanks to Mitchell Ferm for producing it with me. Thanks to our head of story and our layout director, and to Terry Han for keeping me on time for a bit. And thanks to our wonderful, wonderful gang Iain Armitage, Mckenna Grace, Ariana Greenblatt, Pierce Gagnon, and the inimitable Frank Welker. Every minute with you has been a pleasure.”

There have been a few films that have suffered this fate

Scoob!: Holiday Haunt was an unfortunate victim of a new corporate regime at Warner that was trying to cut costs from its predecessor. This means that the film will never be released. Batgirl finds herself in the same situation. But, if there’s any chance of a release, Holiday Haunt is already completely finished, so no more money would be needed to bring it to life. It is clear that the filmmakers have some hope that it can be released.

We would like to thank the writer of this post for this awesome material
