Mark Elliot Zuckerberg, at 38 years old, is an American programmer and businessman. He is one of the creators and founders of Facebook and the homonymous social network, and its current president. He had an interest in computing from an early age and at age 12 he designed a messaging program. He started studying Computer Science at Harvard, but his time at this famous university was very brief. He dropped out of school, but is one of the richest men in the world.
One of the biggest tycoons and philanthropists in the world is Bill Gates, 66 years old. He is known for having founded, together with Paul Allen, the Microsoft company and created the operating system for Windows computers. At only 13 years old he had already learned to program in a self-taught way and at 15 he had started in the world of programming with Allen. However, he began law studies at Harvard, but only lasted two years at the university. Before leaving in 1975, he had already founded Microsoft.
Jeffrey Preston Bezos is an American businessman and tycoon, founder of the online sales company Amazon, of which he owns 7%. In 2015 he was the fifth richest man in the world; in 2017 he reached the top of the Forbes list; and now, in 2022, he has second place. This 64-year-old man completed his university studies in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at Princeton University, although he had already shown great interest and talent for technology since he was a child.
Lawrence “Larry” Edward Page created Google, along with Sergei Brin. He is 49 years old and one of the richest men in the world. He is also known for having created the mathematical algorithm “PageRank”, the Internet web search engine with a growth of 95%. He was interested in computers at an early age and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science and Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, with a Master of Science from Stanford in Computer Science.
Warren Edward Buffett is an American businessman, considered one of the largest investors in the world, as well as being the largest shareholder, president and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He studied at the University of Nebraska and completed a master’s degree at Columbia Business School. He is 91 years old.
The 51-year-old founder of Tesla is the richest man in the world. He briefly studied at the University of Pretoria in South Africa before moving to Canada at the age of 17. He enrolled at Queen’s University and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania two years later, where he majored in Economics and Physics. In 1995 he moved to California to attend Stanford University, but instead decided to pursue a business career, co-founding the web software company Zip2 with his brother Kimbal.
