(CNN) Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal is set to testify Monday as part of the company’s ongoing lawsuit to force Elon Musk to complete his $44 billion acquisition of the social media company.

According to a court filing, Musk’s lawyers will question Agrawal at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Musk himself will be questioned by lawyers for Twitter on Monday and Tuesday, according to an earlier court filing.

The testimony comes as both sides head to a high-profile trial set for mid-October.

Musk has tried to disassociate himself from the acquisition deal, first claiming that the problem with Twitter spam accounts is much bigger than he’s letting on, and then citing allegations of long-unresolved security vulnerabilities revealed by Mr. former head of company security.

These allegations, which were also submitted to the US government as part of a whistleblowing process, were first reported by CNN and The Washington Post last month.

Monday’s statement could force Agrawal to answer questions related to allegations from Peiter “Mudge” Zatko, who led Twitter’s security team from November 2020 until he was fired this January.

Twitter previously claimed that Zatko’s allegations paint a “false narrative” of the company and that Musk’s claims are “factually inaccurate, legally insufficient, and commercially irrelevant.”

Earlier this month, top members of the Senate Judiciary Committee sent Agrawal a letter requesting similar information, asking for responses by September 26, but it is unclear whether Twitter responded to the letter. The committee did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
