Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has one of the most enviable property portfolios. Recently, for example, it was reported that bought a $ 78 million mansion in Hawaii.
Now that the year is ending it is a good idea to take a tour of all the expensive properties that the Amazon owner owns.
According to specialized media Bezos raises a whopping $ 578 million in property alone in the U.S.
Some of the cities where the billionaire has bought are his native Washington, New York, California, Texas and Hawaii.
His first and main house
Jeff Bezos founded Amazon in 1994 and years later he bought what is currently one of his main houses and, therefore, one of the most luxurious.
This mansion is built on a 5.3 acre lot and consists of two houses measuring 20,600 square feet and 8,300 square feet respectively.
He bought the place in 1998 and in 2010 invested $ 28 million to remodel it. It was at this time that he bought the second property that makes the mansion have two houses with the aforementioned extension.
The large mansion is located in the Medina neighborhood of Seattle, where billionaire Bill Gates also owns a property.
The luxury of Manhattan
In 1999 Bezos bought three units from Tommy Mottola in The Century building in the Lincoln Square neighborhood, Manhattan. These properties used to be occupied by the billionaire’s parents.
Recently, in 2012, he bought another property very close to the area that cost him $ 5.3 million.
The Corn Ranch in Texas
In 2004 Bezos decided it was time to look for something in Texas and he found it, paying an unknown amount for a Corn Ranch built on a 30,000-acre tract.
This property is currently the base of operations for Blue Origin, the aerospace company that Bezos founded in 2000.
