After the trickle of images that reached us during its post-production phase and the advances that the people of Amazon Prime Video have left us, there is no doubt that the hype generated around the ambitious ‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ it’s sky high. One CEO to rule them all
During the presentation event of the brand new show held last Tuesday night in the United Kingdom, the boss of Amazon gave a brief speech in which, among other things, thanked showrunners Patrick McKay and John D. Payne for ignoring his notes on the scripts the first versions of the chapters.

“One of the best decisions we ever made was to bet on this relatively unknown team. Some people even questioned our choice. But we saw something special. JD, Patrick, thanks for taking this on and putting your all into it. All of you viewers are about to see that we made the right decision.
“Don’t screw her up”
To finish, Bezos did not hesitate to embrace sentimentality and talk about his early relationship with Tolkien and the importance of the family factor in his link with Middle-earth; assuring that her son expressly asked him to take special care when shaping ‘The Rings of Power’.
“My grandfather was the one who introduced me to Tolkien. I fell in love immediately, I was about 13 or 14 years old. I fell in love with the adventure, of course, with the detailed universe, with the feelings of hope and optimism, with the idea that all the world has a role to play. And I’m happy to report that cycle continues today. My kids have also become Tolkien fans. After Amazon got involved in this project, my son came by one day, looked at me He rolled his eyes and said, ‘Dad, please don’t mess it up.’ And he was right. We know this world is important to a lot of people, we know it’s a privilege to work with, and we know it’s a huge responsibility.”
