Last June, Mark Zuckerberg’s company launched Meta Avatars Store, its first official virtual clothing store for avatars. The first to join were luxury firms such as Balenciaga, Prada and Thom Browne. Now the fashion brand is also integrated DRESSXwhich exclusively designs digital garments and is the world’s largest store of its kind.
The first DRESSX x Meta collection went on sale on July 19, and more styles are expected to be released periodically. In addition to dressing the avatars of Facebook, Instagram Y Messengersome looks from the collection will also be available in the brand’s online store.
This is the first collaboration between Meta and a 100% digital fashion store, since the rest have their physical counterpart. Currently, the Meta Avatars Store is only available in the United States, Canada, Thailand, and Mexico, but it will surely roll out globally soon.

“When Mark Zuckerberg changed Facebook’s name to Meta in October of last year, people realized that digital experiences also fall under the metaverse definition. That was the big push for them to come back to us,” Modenova said in a recent interview with Forbes.
So far, DRESSX has partnered with retail giants like Bershka, PrintempsY American Eagleas well as the Dutch designer Iris vanHerpen. Virtual world platforms also create clothes for avatars Roblox Y Decentraland.
