Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has been at the center of many controversies since the previously known as Facebook became a giant, thanks to the enormous popularity that this social network acquired. On the other hand, Meta also recently confirmed a significant reduction in its hiring targets. In total the company that runs Mark Zuckerberg applied a reduction of 30%which means that its initial goal of hiring 10,000 new people throughout 2022 adjusts to a maximum of 7,000.

Mark Zuckerberg wants to maximize the performance of workers, and he seems willing to carry out a kind of cleaning focused on low-performing employees, and also with those who are not prepared to meet the new goals that Meta has set for itself. This fits in with statements made by Meta’s CPO, who said in a pre-meeting memo that meta’s intent is to prioritize building teams that are more agile, productive and capable of delivering better execution.
