The CEO of Meta, mark zuckerbergannounced a new update of WhatsApp which includes new features and functions that the messaging application was developing in its beta during the last year and finally arrive on the platform in a new update.

In August of this year the application started the beta test of the Communities feature, which provides an easier way for users to communicate with the various groups they are a part of. For it, WhatsApp enabled a new tab within the app located at the top left of the screen in the case of Android.
While the feature was already available to some users of the operating system of Androidwith this announcement it is confirmed that the devices that use the system iOS will also have access to this characteristic with the button that will be enabled at the bottom of the screen of the app.
The announcement also stated that WhatsApp will enable the function to react to messages within group and personal chats for all users of the app all over the world.
Another novelty of the application is that files can be sent by WhatsApp up to 2GB once with the protection of end-to-end encryption. This increases the previous limit of 100MB. According to the official publication of the platform of messagesalso added a counter while downloading or uploading records.
Administrators will become more important with the official launch of the communities thanks to the fact that they were provided with more moderationsuch as the ability to remove messages no matter who sent it within a group chat. When this happens, users will know that the message was removed by an administrator.
WhatsApp has also been working on a feature that allows people to create polls in the group chats of the application and finally this feature has been rolled out to everyone. In the beta test users could set a total of 12 answer optionsso a reduction in that amount is not expected.
On the other hand, whatsapp groups grew again and it was announced that the number of people who will be able to integrate them will rise from 500 to 1,024in addition to enabling communication functions such as voice calls with a capacity of up to 32 people simultaneously for all users.

Understanding that security is also an important feature that users can benefit from, WhatsApp indicated that all messages, including files and calls, are end-to-end encrypted, which prevents the app from collecting this information.
