As happens many times and in general, we gamers are somewhat used to it, when new projects or video games are presented, what is shown in the trailers is far from the final product. This is something that seems to be happening with the Metaverse of Meta, a company formerly known as Facebook, owned by Mark Zuckerberg.

And it is that after in a presentation event, we were shown that this project would be a kind of virtual life, where we could fulfill dreams like traveling to places in the world, even in different times, now everything looks too different.

Idea that many of us have had after Zuckerberg himself announced that his Metaverse game called ‘Horizon Worlds’ was coming to Spain and France, showing a virtual selfie in places like La Sagrada Familia and the Eiffel Tower.

Photos that are too far from what was shown in October 2021 and that have only generated ridicule in, for example, social networks, where it is indicated that Zuckerberg’s metaverse looks like a video game for the Nintendo Wii console, which was launched in 2006.

Comments like “Looks like Mark Zuckerberg saw Ready Player One and thought he could recreate that universe with MS Paint” or “tragic that every airline and tourist economy in the world is about to collapse now that Facebook has completely eliminated the need to travel “, began to appear on Twitter, trolling what was apparently a demonstration of this metaverse that was intended to surprise us.

And something that makes the situation even more laughable (although it shouldn’t be so for Meta) is that Zuckerberg has invested more than $13 billion dollars in the development of this virtual reality project, which still doesn’t convince the majority of Internet users, at least in its graphic section.

In any case, the genius and tycoon behind Facebook has indicated that we must be patient, since there is a long way to go before the product reaches what is expected and that its Metaverse will be “exciting” when it is fully released during the year 2030.
