The CEO of companies such as SpaceX and Tesla, Elon Musk, has repeatedly commented on his opinion on the war between Russia and Ukraine, as well as the strategies that he would come up with to end it.

A few days ago, the billionaire announced on his Twitter account different mechanisms that, according to him, could end the conflict in Ukraine. In short, Musk believes that Ukraine should moderate its demands, so that this conflict does not end in a nuclear war.

The statements, which were received negatively by users of the social network, were followed by the billionaire’s warning of the possible use of nuclear weapons by Russia.

On his social network, Musk assured that “If Russia is faced with the choice of losing Crimea or using nuclear weapons on the battlefield, they will choose the latter option. We have already sanctioned/cut off Russia in every possible way, what else do they have left to lose?” said Musk, who considers that the responses created by the West have only been able to fuel the threats within the conflict. “If we bomb Russia, they will bomb us and then we will have World War III,” the billionaire concluded.

Days before, Musk wrote on his Twitter account a plan to de-escalate the conflict, which consisted of the following: “Peace between Ukraine and Russia: 1) Redo the elections of the annexed regions under the supervision of the UN. Russia leaves the territory if that is the will of the people. 2) Crimea is formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Nikita Khrushchev’s mistake). 3) Water supply to Crimea secured. 4) Ukraine remains neutral.”

Most users rejected Musk’s proposal, whose survey was received negatively. Later, Musk said that it was quite likely that this would be the resolution of the conflict, so it would be a matter of time before the outcome would be a defeat for Ukraine. The point, according to the billionaire, would be how many people end up dying, and even the nuclear outcome, which is unlikely according to the CEO of Tesla.

He continued with a message about the cultural and geopolitical importance Crimea has for Russia: “Whether we like it or not, Crimea is seen as a central part of Russia by Russia itself. Crimea is also of critical importance to Russia’s national security as it is its southern naval base. From his point of view, losing Crimea is like the United States losing Hawaii and Pearl Harbor,” Elon Musk stated.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, suggested an alternative plan for the solution of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, which consisted in Ukraine liberating its territories, including Crimea. Subsequently, Russia should be denuclearized and demilitarized, to avoid future threats. Finally, according to Podolyak, war criminals should go through an international court.
