Jeff Bezos wants to buy the NFL’s Washington Commanders

Jeff Bezosthe third richest person in the world, according to the Index of Bloomberg Billionairesis looking to grow his assets and enter the world of sports by buying the Washington Commandersteam of the National Football League (NFL).

According to a report from The New York Postthe tycoon, who is the majority shareholder of Amazon, intends to sell The Washington Postone of the most important media outlets in the world, to be able to afford the acquisition of the sports organization.

However, the situation would not be easy, because the current owner of Washington Commanders, Dan Snyderdoes not have a good relationship with Jeff Bezos, as the media published last December a series of reports in which he accused the NFL team of having a toxic work culture.

On the subject, the reporter who covers the team’s news, J.P. Finlay noted that the transaction seems distant, but acknowledged that if Bezos sells The Washington Postcould have enough liquidity to materialize the situation, since Dan Snyder is a “businessman”.

“One thing I’ve always heard is that Dan Snyder likes to feel like he wins in negotiations. If Bezos has to sell the post to buy the Commanders, it sounds like Snyder might see it as a win. And the billions and billions won’t hurt either,” he wrote in his twitter account.

Also, according to The New York Post, the first offer for the purchase of the NFL team is around $6.3 billion dollars; however, Snyder hopes to get at least $7 billion.
